It was observed by ר׳ אלתר קלייטניק that when the מלאכים were rushing to give איוב bad news, the ספר first says עוד זה מדבר and afterward again says עוד זה מדבר. But later, it says עד זה מדבר, without the vav. “This is an issue which בעלי דקדוק should address,” ר׳ אלתר said. “But it seems to me that the explanation for the difference is to teach that when proceeding in a great rush, even a מלאך can lose an אות.”
