An אשכנזי and a ספרדי were each boasting about their lineage. The ספרדי noted that in our days most Jews speak בהברה ספרדית. The אשכנזי responded: “That may be, but when they write, they do so in אשכנזי style.” “Yes,” the ספרדי responded, “הקול קול יעקב והידים ידי עשו.”
