The גמרא teaches that אברהם אבינו was blessed בכל, including a daughter known by that name.  This presents the question why יצחק did not marry her, since it was before מתן תורה when one could still marry his sister.  There are four answers: (1) In those days, the אחרים of the גמרא didn’t exist and it was thus not yet known that בכל included a daughter; (2) יצחק subscribed to the view of the מאן דאמר that בכל simply means with everything; (3) יצחק held that בכל did refer to an actual daughter but he wanted a wife who existed according to all the דעות and not one who according to ר׳ מאיר didn’t exist at all; and (4) יצחק wanted a wife who ממש existed על פי פשט and not merely by way of דרש.
