A descendant of the חתם סופר, who unfortunately did not have his ancestor’s תורה and חכמה, nevertheless sought to be treated as a גדול. One man observed: “First, there was the חתם סופר, afterwards there was the כתב סופר, then there was the שבט סופר, and now we have the טעות סופר.”
