An apostate arrived in a town of שומרי מצוות. As שבת approached, some of the Jews asked the מומר to do a certain מלאכה which they could not do on שבת. Insulted, the מומר complained: “What do you think I am, the שבת גוי?” One of the Jews responded: “The גמרא answered your question three דפים ago on דף 85. It says to the calf that didn’t want to go to שחיטה as follows: “זיל, לכך נוצרת.”
