Everyone in town was invited to a wedding celebration, but the poor were seated in a corner of the hall, where they were paid little attention. At one point, the רב rose to speak and told the newly married couple that they should always remember that what goes around comes around. “It’s not true,” one עני said to another. “Look, the waiters are going around with platters of food, but they’re not coming around to us.”
