ברכות-י

When רבי אייזל חריף was the רב in a particular קהילה, one of the מתפללים, by the name of זאב וולף, gave him nothing but grief, making all kinds of demands and complaints.  Fed up, רבי אייזל finally told him “In מסכת ברכות, the גמרא teaches: מאימתי קורים את שמע בשחרית? משיכיר בן זאב לכלב.  What kind of סימן היכר is that?  Why even in the dark of night it’s possible to distinguish between a זאב and a כלב, because the כלב barks and the זאב is silent.  But it is now apparent that the חכמים understood that there is a זאב who barks like a כלב.”
