ברכות- לז

A poor Jew who was down on his luck observed: “Do you know why the rich have lots of money but only a few children and the poor have little money and many children? It’s because the rich can afford meals whose ברכה אחרונה is על המחיה or ברכת המזון. But the poor are lucky if they have food on which they can say שהכל and therefore their ברכה is בורא נפשות רבות.”
