Dovid and Chaim were out of town and couldn’t find a minyan. Dovid said: “I’m one and you’re one. That makes two. You and I together are two, and me and you together are another two. That makes six.” Chaim smiled and noted that even under that calculation, they don’t have ten. “Yes,” Dovid responded, “but if you make that same calculation, we have another six, for a total of twelve.” Chaim smiled again and said: “If so, they don’t need us for the minyan. There are two extra and we can leave.”
