A traveling מגיד was invited for a meal at the home of the community leader in a town in which he was speaking. At the end of the meal, he was invited to lead those at the table with זימון. He began by saying: ברשות בעל הבית. Afterwards, as they were getting up from the table, the host said: “I am accustomed to my guests saying ברשות מורינו הרב בעל הבית.” The visitor stepped out of the room for a few moments, washed his hands, and when he came back said: “ברשות מורינו הרב בעל הבית – אשר יצר האדם.”
