When a מתנגד saw חסידים taking שיריים and eating with their hands without forks, he frowned. One of the חסידים said: “Hands are preferable to forks. Forks are made by humans and we say only one ברכה over them at the time of טבילה. But human hands are the creation of the רבונו של עולם and we say ברכות on them several times a day. So hands are preferable to forks.”
