When רבי ברוך, the דיין of Lvov, was asked what he thought of the דרשה given by רבי שאול, the רב of Cracow, he responded דרוש טוב. Several days later, when רבי ברוך was asked about another רב’s דרשה, he responded תורת אמת. That response got back to רבי שאול. “His response was כדין,” said רבי שאול. “It’s a משנה מפורשת. It says: על בשורות טובות אומר ברוך הטוב; על שמועות רעות אומר ברוך דיין אמת.״.
