An elderly woman boarded a hot, crowded bus, with no available seats. Addressing a young woman, she said “If you knew what I have, you would give me your seat.” The younger woman stood up and gave her the seat. Ten minutes later, the elderly woman asked the bus driver to stop and let her get off. “I’m sorry maam,” he said, “the next stop is three blocks away.” However, she wouldn’t take no for an answer. With a big sigh she said “If you knew what I have, you would let me off here.” Being compassionate, the driver stopped the bus and opened the doors to let her out. As she was going down the stairs, he said “If you don’t mind my asking, what do you have?” “Lots of chutzpah,” she answered.
