R’ ברוך מרדכי ליפשיץ, speaking with colleagues, addressed a certain fellow as רב. Hearing this, one of them said: “רבי you give him שבח, yet he denigrates you.” רבי ברוך מרדכי responded: “So? Perhaps we’re both mistaken.”
