Two men from Chelm were watching the 11:00 PM news featuring a story about a guy jumping off a bridge. Chaim said to Yankel: “I’ll bet you $10 he jumps.” Yankel said: “Okay, I’ll bet you $10 he doesn’t jump.” They watched the rest of the news report and the guy jumped, so Yankel handed Chaim the $10. Chaim said: “I can’t take the money. I saw the 10 O’clock news and they had the same report.” Yankel responded: “So did I, but I didn’t think he would jump again!”
