A קהילה wrote to a גדול asking him to serve as their רב.  When he arrived a few weeks later, everyone went to greet him.  But once they met him, there was great disappointment in his appearance, in the way he carried himself, and in the way he spoke.  The ראשי הקהל determined it was a מקח טעות and agreed to gently hint to the רב that they had changed their minds.  When they did so, the רב immediately understood.  He responded: “Until now, I never realized that פרשת בא and פרשת בשלח are מחוברות.”
