A prominent member of the קהילה asked the גבאים if they would permit him to be the שליח ציבור for מוסף of the ימים נוראים. “It’s a נדבה from me that I want to give to the קהילה,” he said. One of the גבאים was opposed to the idea. The other said: “Let him do it. מי שאינו יכול ונותן תבוא עליו ברכה.”
