A למדן was asked: Why is it that the date of a כתובה is written so and so לחודש, while in a גט it’s written so and so לירח? The למדן replied: “Because in reference to marrying a woman, the פסוק states: כי יקח אשה חדשה. But in reference to a גט, the פסוק states: גרש ירחים, which is לשון ירח.”
