An old man was sick in bed. The doctor came to see him and said that it looked very serious. His son in law heard this and with a sigh whispered: חייב אדם לברך על הרעה כשם שמברך על הטובה…׳רבים שתו, ורבים ישתו׳. Hearing his son-in-law’s whisper, the sick man said: “Perhaps you drink,ואני אברך?”
