Rav שלום מקאמינקא asked at a מסיבת פורים where is it מרומז in the תורה that it’s a מצוה to drink on פורים? He answered: In פרשת בשלח it states וילונו העם על משה לאמר מה נשתה … ויורהו ה׳ עץ. The people were asking when they would drink and ה׳ responded by ויורהו ה׳ עץ. This is a reference to the מגילה, which states תלו אותו ואת בניו על העץ. Then you will drink.
