A group of תלמידי חכמים were sitting and discussing דברי תורה. They decided that each of them should say a דבר תורה that he heard from his father. Amongst them was a תלמיד חכם whose father was a simple tailor. When his turn came to speak, he said: “My father, זכרונו לברכה, used to say ‘Never use fabric which has been handled by others. Your own new fabric is always best.'” And he immediately proceeded to relate his own דבר תורה.
