נדרים כד

David came to Shul with his Saint Bernard dog. When the Rabbi saw him, he said: “What are you doing coming to Shul with a dog?” David answered: “He came to pray. Watch, he’s opening his Tallis bag. Look he’s putting on the Tallis and starting to pray in לשון הקודש.” The Rabbi looked and listened and couldn’t believe what he was witnessing. “Do you think he’s interested in going to Yeshiva and becoming a Rabbi?” the רב asked. “You talk to him,” David responded. “He won’t listen to me. He insists that he wants to be a doctor.”
