Benny was late for an important meeting.  He spent 10 minutes looking for a parking space, but there was none to be had.  Looking up to Heaven, he said “השם give me a space and I’ll donate $100 to tzedakah.”  He circled the block but there still was no parking. Benny was getting desperate. He raised his offer to $500.  But there still was no parking.  Totally frustrated, he said “Please השם, if you find me a space I’ll give $1,000 to tzedakah.”  Just then, he saw a car pulling out of a spot right in front of him.  “Never mind,” he said, “I found a spot on my own.”
