R’ יעקב עמדין was asked by an עם הארץ why one of his ספרים is named לחם שמים. “After all,” he said, “when we make the המוציא, we say המוציא לחם מן הארץ?” The רבי answered: לחם שמים נועד לתלמידי חכמים. לחם מן הארץ נועד לעמי ארצות.
