נזיר כג

The רח״ק מריזין had a habit of humming בם, בם to himself.  When he noticed that a מתנגד was laughing at him, the רח״ק said: “Why are you laughing?  The תורה says ודברת בם.”  Several days later, the רח״ק was surprised to hear the מתנגד humming בם, בם.  “Why are you saying בם, בם?” the רח״ק asked.  “Because the רבי said it’s written in the תורה,” the מתנגד answered.  “Yes,” the רח״ק replied, “but it’s written וצדיקים ילכו בם ופושעים יכשלו בם.  It all goes according to the כונה.”
