When ר׳ יעקב יוסף was asked concerning the statement in 49 דף of Sotah that בעקבות משיחא חוצפא יסגא, why does the גאולה have to be in a generation that is full of חוצפא?, he answered that the main טענה that הקדוש ברוך הוא has against בני ישראל and is holding back the arrival of the משיח comes from the words of the נביאים in today’s דף that בן יכבד אב ועבד אדוניו.  The רבונו של עולם asks: “If I am a father, where is the respect?  And if I am a master, where is the fear?  But when the generation will be מחוצפים, and it will be standard for youth to insult their elders and children to be disrespectful towards their parents, the רבונו של עולם will no longer have this טענה and therefore the גאולה will come.”
