A מלמד by the name of משה would interrupt the דרשות of רבי פנחס, the בעל הפלאה, with all kinds of absurd questions. Eventually, word got to רבי פנחס that the מלמד was חשוד בעבירות. “I guess I’m not surprised,” the רבי said. “It’s as we find in the גמרא. It says: ויביטו אחרי משה מלמד שחשדוהו.”
