R’ לוי יצחק מברדיצ׳ב was told that a 70 year old man had become a משומד.   Sighing, רבי לוי יצחק said:  “רבונו של עולם, look how great the strength of a Jew is to serve You באמת.  That old man stayed Jewish for 70 years.”
