Louis the Eighteenth, King of France, had a Jewish doctor, טוביה כהן. He once asked the doctor why he doesn’t bow to the King’s statue in the courtyard, like others do. The doctor responded: “I once tried to do it, but the statue didn’t respond at all. I concluded that he apparently doesn’t want any kind of relationship with a Jew.”
