One morning when ready to leave the בית כנסת, a man went to get his boots and saw that they had been taken. When he returned for מנחה, he saw one of the מתפללים wearing his boots. When he confronted the man and demanded that he give him the boots, the man denied everything and said “Where are the עדים to testify that they’re your boots?” Hearing this, the רב of the בית כנסת said: “אין עדים לדבר,אבל רגלים יש לדבר.”
