A Jew who converted approached a רב and showed him a medallion with a picture of a Jew on one side and a picture of a dog on the other, in effect saying that they are two sides of a coin. The רב told the מומר that the coin was appropriate for him. “When a Jew turns against his faith,” the רב said, “he turns into a dog.”
