During World War I, a Jewish soldier in the American forces stole out of his trench every night when the guns were silent and returned each time with ten or fifteen captives from the enemy camp.  His superior officers were so impressed by this Jewish hero that he was finally summoned to headquarters to be awarded a medal.  “You never told anyone how you were able to single-handidly capture so many prisoners,” said one of the officers.   “Just how did you manage it?”  “My method is very simple,” replied the soldier.  “I sneak up to the enemy lines and call out ‘Yidden, I need a minyan for Kaddish’ and instantly ten or fifteen Jews pop out of their trenches to accommodate me.”
