The בעל התניא, R’ שניאור זלמן, was once learning תורה with a brilliant תלמיד חכם, who asked him where can we find in the תורה a פסוק that begins and ends with the same three words.  רבי שניאור זלמן said that he knows the פסוק and that it led him to conclude that משה רבינו did not say אמת.  Addressing the stunned תלמיד חכם, he said: “The פסוק is אני ה׳ אלוקיכם אשר הוצאתי אתכם מארץ מצרים להיות לכם לאלוקים אני ה׳ אלוקיכם.  We, of course, say the פסוק in קריאת שמע, adding after the last three words the word אמת.  But משה רבינו did not say אמת.”
