Why do we wish people פסח כשר but don’t do so on other ימים טובים? An answer that has been given is that פסח is in חודש ניסן, the first of the months of the year and therefore the first חג of the year. When we wish פסח כשר, we’re actually referring to all of the ימים טובים, since the letters of פסח כשר spell out פורים, סוכות, חנוכה, כיפור, שבועות, ראש השנה.
