An influential member of the Jewish community of Prague, who was a למדן in his own eyes, delivered a lengthy four hour פלפול before רב יחזקאל לנדא, the נודע ביהודה.  When he finished, the רב said that the פלפול doesn’t conform with the שיטה of רבי מאיר or the שיטה of רבי יהודה.  When asked why, רב יחזקאל explained: “In מסכת פסחים there is a מחלוקת between רבי מאיר and רבי יהודה concerning whether a person is טועה for two hours or three hours.  But your פלפול was full of טעות and lasted four hours.”
