A son once asked his father why is it that at the סדר we have a זכר for the persecution and bitterness that the Jews suffered in מצרים, but we don’t have a זכר for the רכוש גדול with which the Jews were taken out of מצרים? His father answered: “The reason is because the persecution and bitterness haven’t ceased, and there isn’t even a זכר of the רכוש גדול.”
