A villager asked his son to explain why, since חלה is אסור בפסח, the הגדה nevertheless says בכל דור ודור עומדים עלינו לכלותנו. His son replied: “The הגדה says that בכל דור ודור the גויים seek לכלותנו, but הקדוש ברוך הוא מצילנו, which means that He instead provides מצה לנו.”
