קידושין נ

The תורה says: ותבוא אליו היונה והנה עלה זית טרף בפיה. Although every mention of יונה in מקרא is a male, רשי says that this יונה was female. It seems that this is so notwithstanding the concern that the leaf wouldn’t remain in her beak for long because as yesterday’s דף states: עשרה קבין שיחה ירדו לעולם תשעה נטלו נשים.
