ראש השנה טז

It was said by רמי בר אבא, based on the reference to רוב בניו, that המן had 208 sons.  Why then were only 10 hung?   The גמרא says that tall people have tall children, short people have short children, and a husband and wife, one of whom is tall and one short, have children who are בינונים.   Because of his high position, המן was איש גדול.   On the other hand, his wife was short, as evidenced by her name, זרש, which means pinky.  Thus, their children were בינונים.   And מסכת ראש השנה expressly states that בינונים תלויים עד עשרה.
