שבת-ה

A גוי who was friendly with a Jew asked if he could come to his house to observe what שבת was like.  On Friday night, he watched as קידוש was made.  During the meal, after the fish was eaten, the host poured fine wines and liquor.  The next morning, he joined his host for קידוש and enjoyed the fine spirits.  This was followed by more drinks at the שבת seuda.  “I can understand why you can’t drive on שבת,” the גוי said.  “But why can’t you turn on the lights?”
