David was in the park when he saw a city employee digging a hole and another employee filling it with the dirt that had just been removed.  This went on for several hours.  Furious that they were doing such useless work, David approached the two men, demanding an explanation.  “There are usually three of us,” one of the men explained.  “I dig the holes.  Another man plants a bush.  And my friend here fills in the hole.  The planter called in sick today, but we’re still working.  We have a job to do.”
