Four men were playing cards when one of them suffered a heart attack and died.  The oldest amongst them agreed to tell his wife the terrible news.  He went to her and said:  “Your husband sent me.  He was afraid to come home because he was playing cards again and lost his week’s pay.”   The furious wife began to curse and screamed: “I don’t care if he never comes home.  Tell him to join his ancestors in עולם הבא.”  The messenger responded: “ה׳ has heard your תפילה.  He’s now with his ancestors.”
