ברכות-כט

A רבי once remarked to הירשל אוסטרופולר: “I’m surprised at how much you drink. Have you forgotten that the גמרא says לא תרוי ולא תחטי?” Don’t become intoxicated and you won’t sin. Being a wit, הירשל responded: “I never drink more than one כוס. But immediately after drinking that כוס, I become a different person, drinking that כוס as well, and again becoming a different person, and drinking yet another כוס and אין לדבר סוף.” Smiling, the רבי asked: “What are the names of all those others?” הירשל responded: “Since I’m the leader, they’re all called הירשל after me.”
