A Jew who was overcome by his יצר ate non-kosher food. That night, he had a terrible dream and when he woke, his heart beat uncontrollably. Feeling great remorse, he went to the רב to ask how to do תשובה. The רב told him to pray בציבור every day and after the תפילה to say two פרקים of תהילים. The man agreed. He went to the בית כנסת, prayed with the ציבור, and said two פרקים of תהילים. But then he noticed a thin man with long פיאות and a frock sitting at a table and saying פרק after פרק of תהילים. “Wow!” He said. “I thought I was bad. That guy looks so religious but still couldn’t control his תאווה.”
