Three רבנים from three בתי כנסת met at a conference and were discussing issues that they face. One רב complained that his Shul was infested with mice and they just can’t get rid of them. “They’re eating our סידורים and gnawing at the פרוכת. Everything we tried has failed. Perhaps one of you has a suggestion.” The second רב said that his Shul was suffering from the same problem. “We’ve spent a lot of money addressing the issue but it’s been unsuccessful.” The third רב said: “We had the same issue, but managed to resolve it. One שבת morning I got up early and before the תפילה I placed a large slab of cheese on the בימה of the Shul. Hundreds of mice quickly came out of the woodwork and headed straight for the cheese. I immediately placed a Tallis over them and had them Bar Mitzvahed. Since then, we’ve never seen them in Shul again.”
