שבת-עד

As he was lying on his deathbed, a father said to his son: “I want to leave you my secret of success, which is honesty and wisdom.”  “How do you define those terms dad?” the son asked. His father explained: “First, honesty means that if you promise a man merchandise, you must deliver it even if it means losing money and bankrupting yourself.”  The son nodded his head and asked: “And what is your definition of wisdom?”  With a sigh, his father said: “Wisdom means you never promise.”
