A גוי walked into a bar looking very depressed and ordered a drink and then another one.  Addressing the bartender, he said that he had a miserable day.  “What happened?” the bartender asked.  “I got up in the morning to go to the racetrack.  As I was walking to my car, I tripped over a baseball cap.  I didn’t think much of it, but when I got to the track I saw that one of the horses in the first race was named Stetson. Realizing that this is the name of a hat, I took it as an omen and put my money on that horse.  It came in first.  In the second race, there was a horse named Borsalino, another hat.  So I put my money on that horse and sure enough it came in first.  The same thing happened in the third race, when I put my money on Blue Bonnet.  It continued like this through the seventh race and I had a small fortune.  In the eight race, I didn’t see any hat-named horse, so I put my money on the favorite and lost everything.”  “That really is sad,” said the bartender.  “Who won the race?”  “Some Japanese horse named Yarmulka,” the גוי replied.
