Yehudah was sitting next to Meir in shul Friday night and said “Nisht in שבת geredt, but my wife’s car is for sale.” “Nisht in שבת geredt,” Meir responded, “How much do you want?” “Nisht in שבת geredt,” Yehudah replied, “$15,000.” At שחרית the next morning, Meir said “Nisht in שבת geredt, I’ll give you ten.” The negotiations continued through מוסף, but no deal was reached. At מנחה, Meir said “Nisht in שבת geredt, I’m willing to go up to $13,500.” To which Yehudah replied, “Nisht in שבת geredt, the car was sold already.”
