A wealthy Jew was looking out of the window of his house when he noticed two travelers approaching, looking for a place to spend the night. He quickly went to hide in an upstairs room and told his housekeeper to say he wasn’t home. One of the travelers, sensing that the man was in fact home, said to his friend: “Now I understand why הכנסת אורחים גדולה מהקבלת פני השכינה. The Torah says in reference to קבלת פני השכינה that ויסתר משה פניו. But when it comes to הכנסת אורחים, this man is מסתתר כולו.”
