The Chief Rabbi of Israel, רבי אברהם יצחק הכהן קוק, when visiting a קהילה in חוץ לארץ, was greeted by hundreds of people, who were pushing to get near the רב.  At one point, the רב himself was being pushed.  He later remarked: “I always thought that there were two kinds of ייסורים – namely, ייסורים גופניים and ייסורים של אהבה.  Now, I know that there is also a third kind: ייסורים של כבוד.”
